Former U. S. Secretary of State Hilary
Clinton kept in good humor the random object that past her on stage at the
Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas. At first Clinton thought it was a bat and
came to ask:
‘‘Is that somebody throwing something at
me?’’ Clinton responded to the object that was thrown at her. ‘‘Is that part of
Cirque de Soleil?’’
‘‘My goodness, I didn’t know that solid waste
management was so controversial,’’ Clinton chuckled. ‘‘Thank goodness she
didn’t play softball like I did.’’
She made everyone in the audience laugh, including me, and
ducked at just the right moment. However, the woman went into custody and Brian
Spellacy, which is the U.S. Secret Service supervisory special agent in Las
Vegas, said the culprit would face criminal charges. The shoe-throwing incident
reminded us of what happened to the former President George W. Bush dodging two
shoes thrown at him by an Iraqi journalist during a news conference in Baghdad
in December 2008. However, we do not condone it towards Hilary Clinton.
In fact, Clinton, the former first lady and
Democratic senator from New York, has been traveling the country and delivering
paid speeches to industry organizations. She is appearing before some key Democratic
Party members. In a speech in San Francisco the past Tuesday, April
8, 2014, Clinton said she was seriously considering a presidential bid and all
it would entail.
Now that is what we are talking about! We
love the idea, but apparently maybe not everyone agrees. What are your feelings
about it? Share with me/us on Facebook Limos Services!
